Hands down, my favorite piece of water to be on. This is a tail water fishery below Bridgeport Reservoir that has a 7 Mile stretch of trophy trout water that will rival any big fish tail water in the country!
This river has browns in the 20-30" class with tackle busting runs and aerial displays only put on by those East Walker River browns. Also there are some obese rainbows in this river. These big bows' get pushed out of the lake on high water years and in turn make the E-dub their home. These fish eat everything that passes by and can grow at phenomenal growth rates.
This river hosts a population of insect life with lots of food for the taking. Also this river has a baitfish population (perch, chub, whitefish, and carp that make the big fish in the river go on a baitfish feeding frenzy (Great Streamer Action). Good Grab! Also a challenging river for the fact if you were looking to join the 20-20 club then this could be the place for you. 20" fish on a size #20 fly. So if you would like the chance for that big fish come see us and we'll get ya hooked up!
